Most often, dried herbs are added to melt and pour soaps as the chemical reaction in cold process soapmaking can compromise the properties of herbs including color, scent, and texture. Check with your soapmaking supplier if you have any questions as to the effectiveness of a dried herb in cold process soapmaking.
